The Exhibit Monthly News from the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum at Daytona Bike Week 2011
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame was at the Antique Motorcycle Club of America meet in Eustis, Florida on March 4th—6th during Daytona Bike Week. What a great event. We are posting several images and videos of the event to our members only area on our website—if you’re not a member, you can sign up at the
From there we travel to the AMA Flat track races in Barberville, FL. If you have never been to an AMA race and especially the Flat Track Series, you are missing a very exciting event. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
Our last stop was the International Master Bike Builders Association Custom Bike Show at the Blue Grotto Club located at the Halifax Marina right off Beach Street in Daytona. Many great bikes and custom builders were in attendance as well as about 30 riders and IMBBA members from Italy. It did start with a little language barrier, but the common denominator being our passion for the sport of motorcycling broke down any walls, so all had a great time. The Dan Lawson Band was the feature act for the day! It was a great show and a great party! Thanks to Jeff Starke and Freddie Arnold of the IMBBA for the invitation. www.sturgismuseum.com. Welcome to our Newest Sponsor—Motorcycle USA The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame would like to welcome our newest sponsor, Motorcycle USA—Medford, Oregon. Motorcycle USA is an on-line magazine and covers all types of power sports news the world over. Features including Street, Cruiser, Dirt, ATV, and Scooters. You will see motorcycle and gear reviews, up to date racing results, videos, tons of photos of rallies, a buyer’s guide and even fantasy racing. MC USA has it all! In addition to all the breaking news, Motorcycle USA has a great sister company, Motorcycle Superstore. So, if you see something cool in the on-line magazine, you can click a button and go to the Superstore to make your purchase.
Again, we would like to thank Rea McLean and the great folks at Motorcycle USA for their support and we ask that YOU support them as well. To check it out go to www.mototcycle-usa.com Tickets on Sale for Hall of Fame Breakfast and Induction Ceremony If you are going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year and would like to live and feel the history of this great sport, then don’t miss this event. Among many great names in the motorcycle industry inducted this year will include "Evel" Knievil and Don Emde to name a couple of the industry dignitaries. The cost is $35 per person or you can reserve a table of 8 for $300. Individual seating is first come, first serve, so get there early to get up close and personal as history is made.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum will be a huge part of this event with a 3,500 square foot exhibit featuring bikes loaned to us by many friends of the museum including Kiwi Indian Motorcycle (Riverside, Ca.), Bob’s Indian Sales (Etters, Pa.), Velocity Cycles (Mechanicsburg, Pa.), Antique Automobile Club of America (Hershey, Pa.), and last but certainly not least, the American Motorcyclist Association (Pickerington, Oh.).
In addition to the museum and our friends being in attendance, the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground, Loud American Roadhouse, The Custom Chrome International Bike Show, great concerts, Dave Perewitz (Museum Hall of Famer), Eddie Trotta, and so much more space doesn’t allow us to list all the great things about this road show.
For all the details, go to Sturgis Road Show. If you are anywhere remotely close to that part of the country on that weekend and want the time of your life for a reasonable price, this is the place for you! www.sturgisroadshow.com BIKERNET.COM MUSEUM FEATURE OF THE MONTH
